Daily Geo
Four geography challenges. Same world. New challenge every day.
Preparing today's shared challenge…
Inside the daily challenge
One shared puzzle, four ways to read the world
Daily Geo is a browser-based daily geography game built around one short challenge each day. Everyone receives the same four geography rounds in the same order, so results are comparable without needing a live leaderboard. Each round is worth up to 2,000 points, producing one daily score out of 8,000.
Round 1
Border Fragment
Identify a country from one north-up fragment of its outer border. You can reveal a longer section when the first shape is not enough, but each extra clue reduces the available points.
Round 2
Geo Triangulation
Locate a hidden country by probing other countries on the world map. Each probe gives an approximate distance and compass direction, turning familiar places into reference points for your final guess.
Round 3
What's Around Me?
Read the arrangement of a country's immediate land neighbors and name the missing country between them. Neighbor labels can be revealed for help, with a score cost for each level of assistance.
Round 4
Geo Sort
Arrange five countries by a geographic property such as longitude, latitude, area, or number of land borders. After an incorrect submission, you learn how many positions are right, not which ones.
A new map at midnight UTC
The challenge resets at midnight UTC rather than local midnight. Daily puzzles are generated procedurally from geographic data, including country outlines, approximate centers, areas, and land-neighbor relationships. The date acts as a fixed seed, which is why the same day produces the same challenge for every player. The detailed rules and clue costs are covered in How to play.
Play without an account
No sign-up is required. Daily progress, completed results, and streaks stay in this browser's local storage. Once you finish all four rounds, Practice mode opens for extra untracked puzzles without changing your daily score. Read more about the geographic data and the decisions behind the game on the About page.
